Here at The Sheldan Inn, we think there’s an art to running a successful community pub that encourages patrons to revisit, time after time, even in these changed times.

I’m Rachel, and I have been landlady at The Sheldan Inn since December 2019. I went to school in Welwyn Garden City - I grew up here and am raising my children here too. As a consequence I am very familiar with the local community, which is at the forefront of my thinking as I plan the Sheldan’s future. 

For me, Customer Service Excellence must be our focus. To succeed in delivering it, I have a friendly, professional team that has a passion for the service we intend to offer.

We might not have everything perfected yet, but it won’t be through lack of trying, even after we spent 19 of our first 52 weeks in lockdown (before popping in and out of assorted Tiers and restrictions)!
